( 31. 01. 2019 )
Bibs for Slovenian racers: 12 Meta Hrovat, 20 Tina Robnik, 31 Ilka Štuhec, 57 Neja Dvornik, 61 Ana Bucik, 65 Desiree Ajlec

French Tessa Worley, winner of giant slalom race in Maribor two years ago, will open GS race tomorrow as first racer down the slope at 10.am.

Mikaela Shiffrin will race with bib 4 and Meta Horvat as first Slovenian racer will start with bib 12.

Crowd in Maribor gathered again at Trg Leona Štuklja and loudly greeted best skiers of the world. Among them were two locals. Ilka Štuhec with bib 31 and former skier Katja Koren Milkavec. Katja Koren Miklavec won bronze in Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 1994 and following year she took in Maribor silver right after the most successful fox ever, Vreni Schneider. This placed Katja Korem Miklavec to »Hram športnih junakov« (Slovenian Hall of Fame) which hosts in total 59 Slovenian athletes including first three athletes who won an Olympic medal for Slovenia. Besides Katja Koren Miklavec we spotted Jure Košir at the honorees reception, while Alenka Dovžan will take part at honorees reception at home race – Pokal Vitranc.
