Solid reason for optimism about course preparation

While new Chief of Race Mitja Dragšič was reporting progress of course preparation during first Organizing's Committee meeting, long-time members of organization remained optimistic in spite of rain and warm temperatures: "After half a century we're used to everything". Even though we are facing a fickle winter there's no need to worry too much. Right after New Year's and in less than a week, Milan Šmon's team managed to cover entire course length with approximately 50 cm thick layer of snow. Mitja Dragšič, Chief of Race: "There's enough snow and at this moment we can only wait. We are facing a typical warp up in January, but the weather forecast is not bad. From Wednesday on weather should turn for the better and then we'll be able to define how much damage has been done to the snow layer. Our plan is to spread the snow as soon as possible considering the weather, because the best way to process it is done by skiing." Solid reason for optimism about course preparation is also given by concluded agreement between race organizers, ski resort management and their subcontractors who manage artificial snowmaking and course preparation.
